An Internet campaign is provoking in militarily exposed Estonia. Estonian representatives speak of Russian influence operation. In eastern Ukraine, the war began in 2014 with the proclamation of "People's Republics".
In Estonia, the appearance of the Narva People's Republic is under discussion, although it is virtual, and the blog about Russian propaganda for Propastop found anonymous accounts on social media with separatist calls for Narva residents.
Several social media accounts have recently announced the creation of a republic of Narva, the name of this Estonian city bordering Russia almost entirely Russian-speaking and often presented as acquired in Moscow. While the authorities relativize the scope of the movement, strongly suspected of being part of the Russian hybrid war strategy, warning launchers call for vigilance, notably by drawing a parallel with the Ukrainian Donbass.
