The military intelligence service MIVD currently sees "no intention" that Russia wants to start a conflict with NATO soon after the end of a war in Ukraine. However, after the end of the current war, the Russian armed forces could be "ready for a small-scale conflict with NATO in slightly less than a year," warned MIVD Director Peter Reesink in a briefing in the House of Representatives.
The Netherlands military intelligence has no intention of starting a limited armed conflict with NATO, and Peter Risink, director of the Military Intelligence and Security Service of the Kingdom (MIDD), reported it to Parliament at a briefing.
