A total of 19 business entities in seven provinces have now received sanctions.
The Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut) has imposed sanctions on six corporations in Borneo. Police identified 72 suspects.
The Government Sealed 19 Companies Due to Forest and Land Fires, Burning Land Covers 11,000 Hectares
The Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) has sealed 19 businesses across seven provinces. The total area burned by these 19 businesses is approximately 11,046.69 hectares. The government is also checking the preparedness of companies located in areas prone to forest and land fires. KLH/BPLH has sent letters to 2,226 companies to ensure they have personnel and facilities ready to use in the event of a fire.
Taken for smoke, the country is betting on launching water by aircraft and seeding clouds to try to contain the flames.
