Poland, in response to violations of its airspace by Russian drones, has imposed air traffic restrictions in the east of the country, including a ban on certain types of civilian flights.
Poland will impose temporary restrictions on flights over the eastern part of the country as from 10 September, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of air defence aircraft and assisting the military in responding more quickly to threats.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced a decision regarding the protection of Polish airspace. Following recent Russian provocations and acts of aggression, protection is to be expanded. The Polish Air Force is to be more active. The announcement also announces the strengthening of rapid response systems to threats across the country.
