Russia is facing a new wave of the fuel crisis, based on repeated Ukrainian attacks on refineries. Gas and diesel have become increasingly difficult to find in several regions of the country, and at some power stations there have been miles of lines. Last days, only 28 percent of the gas stations had fuel available, compared to 41 percent a week before.
The Energy Minister said gasoline and diesel are still available, but acknowledged that lines are forming at gas stations.
Only one third of Russia’s gasoline currently has fuel reserves due to its shortage due to the intensification of Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries, Russian daily Izvestia reported on Tuesday.
As of 16 August, only 28 per cent of Russian gas stations included in the GdeBenz application base were available for petrol and diesel fuel, written by the pro-government newspaper Izvesia, which analysed the service's data.
