The mayor of Iasi municipality, Mihai Chirica, was charged with DNA abuse in service with particularly serious consequences, in a file in which prosecutors claim that the building had approved the payment of more than 2 million lei from the local budget for 542 tons of baby which, in reality, did not exist. The investigators have seized the mayor's property, and in the file there are researches and nine other officials of Iasi City.
