The German economy will grow faster than originally expected this year, with growth of 1.3 percent. Five leading economic institutes said this in their joint autumn outlook on Thursday. They have more than doubled their estimate - they predicted growth of 0.6 percent in the spring forecast. Next year, gross domestic product (GDP) could increase by 1.1 percent instead of the 0.9 percent predicted in the spring.
Germany ' s leading economic research institutes increased the country ' s joint growth forecast for 2026 to 1.3 per cent, from 0.6 per cent expected in the spring; the revision of the forecast was associated with stronger than expected performance in the first half of the year, by Bloomberg.
