Sony acquired rights last November to produce a live-action and CGI hybrid film of Labubu, a collectible toy popularized by celebrities worldwide, Pop Mart said.

- Viral since 2025, Labubu gained fame after celebrities like Olivia Atwood, Simone Biles, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Lisa from BLACKPINK were seen with the doll designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung around 10 years ago.
