Fuel price regulation will be reintroduced in the Czech Republic from October 1. At the same time, the excise tax on diesel will be reduced and an extraordinary sectoral tax for oil processors will be introduced. The government decided this today.
The government will resume fuel price regulation from October 1. As in the spring, the Ministry of Finance will set maximum prices for gasoline and diesel daily, which will be derived from the average price on the stock exchange and also from the regulated margin of traders of CZK 2.50 per liter of fuel.
