The central government has decided to raise the tone in its struggle to ensure that Catalan, Basque and Galician become official languages of the European Union and to warn that it will not be able to 'accept' that additional languages are included in the EU language regulation as a result of the entry of new Member States if their request has not been given a green light before.
The government has always made it clear to its European partners that it is a priority to achieve this objective and the Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, has assured that it is only a matter of time, convinced that it will end up getting the green light.
