As in the past, Israel once again intercepted boats from a Gaza aid fleet. Nevertheless, the activists speak of success.
Without being able to stop all of the nearly 45 ships en route to the Palestinian enclave, the Hebrew state has stopped some 20 of them. A symbolic victory for the Global Sumud which seeks to "break the blockade" of the territory.
Boats from the international Sumud flotilla, attempting to deliver medicine and food to the Gaza Strip, were intercepted as they approached the war-torn enclave. The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that the expedition's participants were being transported to local ports.
