Péter Vörös, director general of the Kaposvár Campus of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (MATE), is leaving the Fidesz parliamentary group in Kaposvár. The politician, who won an individual mandate in the 2024 election, will continue his work as an independent.
According to his justification, in recent times he has increasingly experienced that party political considerations prevailed even in professional matters, and he has been subjected to several undeserved attacks because he performed his work according to his professional convictions.
