Overnight, a liter of gasoline and diesel fuel has become one złoty more expensive. This is the result of the termination of the CPN package. The news is particularly devastating for the taxi industry. In just one year, its debt has increased by 3.5 million złoty, breaking a record high. As of today, the CPN (Lower Fuel Prices) program is no longer in effect. This means that VAT on gasoline and diesel will increase again, from 8 percent to 23 percent. Furthermore, the Minister of Energy will no longer set maximum prices for gasoline and diesel.
As of September 1st, the CPN package will cease to apply, meaning the return of the 23% VAT on fuels and expected price increases at the pump.
