The August Imacec has receded in annuities due to a fall of 17.4% in the mining sector
The Chilean economy fell again in August. Imacec retreated 1.0% in a year, dragged mainly by the collapse of 17.4% of mining.
Economy fell 1%, thus completing its second consecutive fall and the sixth of the year.
The Central Bank reported that the Monthly Economic Activity Index (Imacec) of August 2026 fell 1.0% compared to the same month of the previous year.
