The Spanish Congress debates the two royal decrees-laws, promoted by the Government and approved by the Council of Ministers on September 29, which would respond temporarily to the housing crisis that is going through the country and that has thousands of people in the streets. Our correspondent Marina Colorado expanded the information.
The Lower House has experienced a vote marked by the division between the groups and by a very tight parliamentary arithmetic.The positions announced during the debate have ended up being decisive.
"Think of your fellow countrymen. Your lives depend on what you are voting on here today. That is why I am not only asking you, I beg you to be courageous and consistent," said the President.
Thousands of citizens mobilized in the vicinity of the legislature to pressure the deputies to pass the regulations, which seek to curb rent and rent abuse
This Friday, October 2, the validation of the two housing decrees will be voted on in an extraordinary plenary session in the Congress of Deputies.
Protesters have come from the camp to the outside of Parliament, where housing decrees are debated and voted on.
