At the request of the State Tax Inspectorate (STI), the Vilnius Regional Court has filed bankruptcy proceedings against the company "Garnis", partly controlled by former Prime Minister and member of the Seimas Social Democratic Party faction Gintautas Paluckas, and has seized its assets.
According to the court ruling, the company's liabilities exceed its assets. It is also stated that there is no evidence in the case that the company's assets are sufficient to cover the claims of creditors, or that the company is engaged in economic activity.
