The Constitutional Court accepted for consideration the request of members of the Seimas to assess the compliance with the Constitution of the amendments to the LRT Law related to the formation of the LRT Council and the procedures for dismissing the Director General.

This week, conservative MP Giedrė Balčytytė applied to the Constitutional Court, requesting that the case be examined urgently, taking into account the fact that decisions regarding the LRT Director General may be made in the near future.
