The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has arrested Alejandro Hamlyn, the businessman whose company Hafesa was found guilty of oil fraud by the National High Court, in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). Hamlyn did not appear for trial because he had escaped the country. The businessman, through his company, continued reading "Interpol detains Alejandro Hamlyn in Abu Dhabi, the businessman to whom the PSOE sewers offered help"
The National High Court ordered his search and capture in June 2025.
The National High Court had issued an extradition order for not filing a declaration in the case of alleged fuel VAT fraud, which had been held to have escaped justice since last year.
