A popular downtown spot for brews is closing up shop for good. Brewers Art, a Mount Vernon staple, is now closed. According to text messages obtained by WBAL, the owner told his staff that he had run out of money and that financial strains the restaurant faced had gotten worse over the past few weeks. He told employees he could not pay them. The Charles Street landmark had been open for about 30 years.
