The Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute planted fig seeds collected from Samsun, Ordu, Giresun, Kastamonu, Sinop, and Artvin in 2018 in an orchard it established in Bafra. The orchard currently has 16 genotypes; three varieties will be submitted for registration next month, and two more in February.
