Prosecutors say Bronwen James exchanged flirty messages, met the pupil in her car and had sex at her home three or four times.
Former PE teacher Bronwen James, 30, is on trial at Winchester Crown Court, facing four charges of sexual activity with a 16-year-old pupil.
Prosecutor Edward Culver told jurors the pair connected on Snapchat, exchanging "flirty" messages daily; Culver alleged James discussed moving in together and told the student she loved him.
The student testified he was asked to call James "Miss" and was nicknamed "Number 8" in messages, while prosecutors allege the pair met at Weston Shore before having sexual intercourse at James' home while watching Wimbledon.
James denies all charges, with her defense claiming the student was "put up" by an unknown party to fabricate the allegations and maintaining she never had a sexual relationship with him.
Judge James Bromige is presiding over the proceedings, which are expected to last five to six days total.
