Defence and Thales Netherlands are jointly investing in new radar capacity. This will take place at the Thales location in Hengelo. Both parties have entered into a strategic partnership for this purpose. Amounts have not been disclosed.
The call to invest in defense has been loud for years. But now it is time for the ministry to take action as well. On Monday, State Secretary Derk Boswijk opened the construction of a new production and testing site for radar systems in Hengelo, on Thales grounds.

It also covers training facilities, expanded production of complex printed circuit boards and the construction of an additional radar test tower.
