Thailand has declared a curfew in the southeastern province of Trat due to ongoing shelling between the two countries. The province stretches along the Gulf of Thailand and covers a narrow strip of land along the border with Cambodia. The curfew applies to districts bordering the Cambodian city of Koh Kong. Sa Kaew Province, which also borders Cambodia and has been the site of repeated shelling, was already under a curfew and remains in effect.
