Industry Minister Varawut revealed that the floods have affected industries in 55 provinces, causing 147 million baht in damages, with Bangkok being the hardest hit. He has ordered the preparation of several recovery plans, including a moratorium on principal and interest payments for up to 12 months.

It is reported that the main impact was on the central and eastern provinces, which receive huge amounts of water from highlands in the north of the country; in Bangkok, some 329,000 households were previously flooded and four deaths occurred in the capital.
