MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli reacted to the frequent mention of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş on television channels following his meeting with President Erdoğan. The first response to Bahçeli's remarks about Yavaş came from the New Party.
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli denied claims that a villa was built for terrorist leader Öcalan in İmralı, stating, "A 250-square-meter residence was built. He is getting older. Let him hold his meetings and convey his messages there." Bahçeli also claimed that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş was being given too much prominence on television channels and that he had therefore assigned someone to monitor his television broadcasts.
Pervin Buldan, a member of the DEM Party's Imrali delegation, denied claims that the facility built in Imrali as part of the "Turkey Without Terror" process was a "villa." Stating that the new structure is part of the prison complex, Buldan said that describing it as a comfortable area was a malicious assessment, and explained that Abdullah Öcalan has not yet moved into the new facility because he needs a working team.
