Terms on Trump Mobile site indicate that phones may never come
Updated terms say the $100 deposits are not binding purchases, while about 600,000 buyers have paid roughly $60 million for a phone with no confirmed ship date.
The Trump Mobile T1 phone launched in June 2025 with a $100 deposit pre-order and was marketed as a gold-colored smartphone emphasizing American design and values, but as of mid-2026, no confirmed release date or shipments have been made.
Nearly 600,000 customers have paid deposits totaling about $59 million, but the company's terms state that placing a deposit does not guarantee production or delivery of the phone.
Initial claims of manufacturing the phone in the USA were changed to clarify that most production occurs overseas, with only limited assembly in Miami.
Customers have expressed frustration on social media over shipping delays and lack of clear communication, with some requesting refunds, though mass refunds have not been widely issued.
