The TEPAV Food Price Index (TEGE) increased by 2.23 percent in September on a monthly basis. This marks the fastest monthly increase since April.
According to the TEPAV Food Price Index, monthly food inflation rose to 2.23 percent in September, while the annual rate was calculated as 30.1 percent. The highest increase in fresh fruits and vegetables was seen in eggplant at 34.4 percent, while lemons saw the largest price decrease at 28.4 percent. Outside of fresh fruits and vegetables, the highest increase was recorded in margarine at 14.1 percent.
