Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open have announced the creation of an Advisory Board of Players approved by the four Grand Slam tournaments that will be launched after the end of the US Open 2026.
Players, including world number 1 Aryna Sabalenka, had threatened a boycott of Roland-Garros this season. They had finally reduced their participation in pre-tournament press conferences to express their dissatisfaction with the redistribution of revenues.
In a press release, the Grand Slam tournaments announced the creation of a "Advisory Council of Players." A response to the challenge of athletes who had threatened to boycott major tournaments, not sufficiently remunerative to them.
