Tenant from hell trashes house with 3,000 empty Pepsi bottles
Specialist cleaners spent over three days removing 3,000 empty Pepsi bottles and 140 bags of rubbish from a neglected social housing property, local authorities said.
- Last week, specialist cleaner Iain Watson and his team cleared over 3,000 Pepsi bottles from a Cheshire property after the local authority moved the tenant into temporary accommodation.
- The 35-year-old tenant originally requested help for a ceiling leak, but cleaners discovered a property without electricity where decayed food and trash were piled to the ceiling.
- Watson spent three and a half days working nine-and-a-half hour shifts, filling more than 140 bags of waste that packed his Luton van from floor to ceiling.
- Working alongside his 16-year-old daughter Caitlin, Watson emphasized a non-judgmental approach, saying, "You have to treat each job with compassion."
- The property was cleared in anticipation of the tenant moving back in, with the team expressing satisfaction in returning the home to a much better condition.
