Millwall FC have signed a 999-year lease for The Den Stadium. The English second division club have signed a 1,000-year lease with the London Borough Council, the club said in a statement. Millwall FC, founded in 1885, have played at The Den, which was built in 1993, but the formal agreement to establish a “perpetual” partnership has only just been signed, covering the use of the stadium and the surrounding land.
