‘Big Brother’ Runner-Up Taylor Brown Reacts to the Jury’s Body Language During Final 2 Speech
Taylor Brown said she noticed Angela Murray, Dee Valladares and Melody Morris reacting coolly as Rick Devens won the $750,000 prize.
On Thursday, October 1, Rick Devens won the Big Brother season 28 finale, securing the $750,000 prize after defeating runner-up Taylor Brown. Host Julie Chen Moonves noted that while Taylor's strategy impressed fans, it failed to sway the jury.
Taylor, 28, told Us that she felt the jury's body language was "off" during her final plea. She specifically cited Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Melody Morris as members whose behavior signaled her impending loss.
Taylor had successfully convinced Devens to take her to the final two over Drew Campbell, earning one vote from her ally, Lala, and $75,000 for her second-place finish.
Devens, 42, credited his win to lessons learned from Survivor, having used an intimidation tactic days earlier by telling Taylor, "You need to take me to final two because I."
Viewers observed Angela, 52, shaking her head at Melody, 24, after Taylor claimed credit for the Lyric Medeiros eviction, which Devens later clarified was orchestrated by his alliance, not Taylor.
