Expensive taxis, ripping off tourists and drivers who read newspapers instead of working. Complaints about Prague's transport are not a new phenomenon. A hundred years ago, the National Newspapers complained that the reputation of taxis was tarnishing Prague's reputation at home and abroad and that the capital was risking the label of a "large European village".
