- On Friday, Tata Advanced Systems Limited signed a memorandum of understanding with the Javelin Joint Venture to co-produce the Javelin All Up Round anti-tank missile system in India.
- Ambassador Sergio Gor said on Friday that the purchase represents a significant step toward closer defense cooperation between New Delhi and Washington, building on discussions from the May 2026 Shangri-La Dialogue.
- Sub-Assembly kits will continue production at Lockheed Martin's Troy, Alabama, facility and Raytheon's Tucson, Arizona, plant, with components shipped to India for final assembly.
- TASL chief executive and managing director Sukaran Singh said local assembly will "enhance operational readiness" for the Indian Armed Forces, while the agreement supports faster fielding of the proven weapon system.
- The State Department cleared a potential $45.7 million sale of 100 Javelin rounds and 25 Command Launch Units in November 2025; JJV has produced more than 55,000 missiles to date.
