- Security officials deployed over 2,000 personnel throughout Madurai for the Chief Minister's visit, which also includes inaugurating the renovated Gandhi Memorial Museum and visiting the historic Sri Meenakshi Sundareshwar temple this evening.
- Due to the Model Code of Conduct, the rollout is temporarily withheld in Maduranthakam and Dharapuram, while critics have questioned the presentation of state-provided welfare as a "gift" rather than a right.
