Swing bridge gets pedestrian crossing light

There were holdups over the course of two days last week as crews installed new solar-powered pedestrian crossing lights on either side of the sidewalk portion of the swing bridge. The setup caused hourly delays and some consternation as Ontario 511 incorrectly reported that the swing bridge was fully closed while crews did their work. Traffic was, in fact, delayed for 15 minutes at a time.
