Swansong for the impressive Mercedes-Benz Citan
The long-wheelbase van delivers about 3.6 cubic metres of load space and a payload above 850kg, Mercedes-Benz said.
The Mercedes-Benz Citan is a long-wheelbase small panel van measuring 4,922mm in length with a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 3,100mm wheelbase.
L2 versions offer roughly 3.6 cubic metres of load volume and a payload over 850kg, with twin sliding side doors and wide-opening rear doors designed for easy access in tight spaces.
On the road, the Citan delivers well-suppressed engine noise and direct steering, with body roll remaining tightly controlled to encourage drivers to handle it with hatchback-like confidence.
Inside, the Citan features a logically laid-out dashboard with a modern touchscreen and smart storage solutions, complemented by safety systems including blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.
Official figures for the 1.5-litre unit reach the low-to-mid-50s miles per gallon, providing sufficient torque for both urban errands and motorway stints while maintaining a relaxed cruise when loaded.
