Fort Hood OB-GYN Accused of Sexual Misconduct Now in Jail
More than 100 patients from multiple military medical centers are involved in lawsuits after Blaine McGraw was arrested for secretly recording exams, lawyers said.
- On Wednesday, Blaine McGraw was arrested and booked into the Bell County Jail at 11:59 a.m.; the suspended Fort Hood OB-GYN faces allegations involving more than 100 individuals for secretly recording patients.
- Last month, Fort Hood military officials suspended Blaine McGraw after a civil suit accused him of secretly recording exams, and the Army sent letters to more than 2,500 patients at Fort Hood and Tripler Army Medical Center.
- So far, more than 75 women claim they were victims, the Cobos Law Firm represents over 70 plaintiffs, the Carlson Law Firm about 23 clients, Sanford Heisler Sharp seven, and Army CID seized McGraw's phone.
- On December 2 the Army ordered Blaine McGraw into pretrial confinement, and a neutral and detached military magistrate will review his confinement within seven days to determine if it continues.
- The scale positions this as a potentially historic military case, with advocates warning of hundreds of victims and Attorney Andrew Cobos saying his clients are relieved by the arrest.
