The work of the Russian House is regulated by an agreement from 2013 between the governments of Russia and Germany on the facilities of the Russian House in Berlin and the Goethe Institute in Moscow. The agreement is valid for 99 years and contractually obligates both countries to, among other things, take over the payment of real estate taxes for the corresponding building of the partner country
