Supreme Court hears arguments before Wayne County students

HUNTINGTON -- The auditorium was called to order and court was in session at Spring Valley High School on Wednesday, Sept. 24. It wasn't a mock trial nor a student stage production; rather, it was highest court in the state hearing arguments in two actual cases. Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia brought the proceedings to SVHS as part of its Legal Advancement for West Virginia Students (LAWS) civics education program.
