Sunday morning blaze kills nine animals

An early morning fire Sunday left nine pets dead and displaced the residents of the home. According to information from the American Red Cross, Rowan County crews responded to reports of the fire after midnight in the 1000 block of Timber Spring Lane. The two-story home was destroyed.
