For the first time in nearly a year, visitors are once again walking the shoreline at Stump Pass Beach State Park on Manasota Key.The popular park had been closed since last years hurricanes while crews cleared debris and made repairs along the shoreline. Stump Pass Beach State Park reopens after hurricane repair

Parts and pieces of all the Florida State Parks in this region are now available for use with this week’s partial opening of Stump Pass State Park, which sits at the tip and south end of Manasota Key.  “Every parking spot extra we get for beach parking is a blessing,” said Doug Izzo, executive director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce.
