STUDENAC filed a request today to open pre-bankruptcy proceedings, thus initiating a process in which it will attempt to regulate relations with creditors and stabilize its operations.
The company left behind dozens of creditors.
"Studenac", the largest supermarket chain in Croatia, owned by the Polish investment fund Enterprise Investors, has filed for pre-bankruptcy proceedings. This happened after several years of business expansion.
According to the submitted proposal of the retail chain, there is a risk that the company will not be able to meet its obligations to suppliers and employees in just a few weeks.
Croatian grocery chain Studenac has filed a motion to place the company in court restructuring proceedings. According to Michał Kędzia, the Enterprise Investors partner responsible for the investment in Studenac, the proceedings are intended to protect the company while it rectifies its financial situation.
