Stu Paterson, former CBC, CKWS broadcaster, passes away at 81

Former CBC News anchor Stu Paterson has passed away at the age of 81. Paterson died in hospital in Owen Sound last Thursday after a battle with cancer. His career in radio started at CJET in Smiths Falls, ON in the early 1960s where he was among the first North American DJs to spin a Beatles record on radio, with CJET quickly receiving new vinyl pressings from the local RCA Victor plant where the first North American Beatles records were produce…
