- The Agentic Commerce Protocol, co-developed by OpenAI and Stripe, is an open standard powering Instant Checkout to solve AI agents' prior inability to complete transactions, and it is being open-sourced.
- When users buy they tap 'Buy' inside ChatGPT, confirm shipping and payment details, and Stripe issues Shared Payment Tokens scoped to merchants and amounts, sharing only required data with sellers.
