A combat battalion of Danish soldiers has begun a rotation in Latvia. This represents another recent reinforcement of NATO's eastern flank.
The Spanish participation is complemented by other mechanized and supportive media, such as M-113 vehicles, heavy mortars, firefighters' vehicles and Spike tank missile systems.The Spanish Tactical Subgroup also has specific capabilities such as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) team and an unmanned Raven aircraft, which complement the capabilities of reconnaissance, acquisition of objectives and coordination of fires.
