Shares Slip in Asia as Oil Climbs, Rate Hikes Loom
U.S. stock indexes rebounded on Friday with the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq rising about 1% after oil prices eased and inflation data matched expectations.
Brent oil prices fell to around $105 a barrel, easing inflation concerns, while the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury dropped, supporting stock market gains before an expected Federal Reserve rate hike announcement.
Investors remained broadly optimistic toward equities and AI investments despite recent market volatility and rising bond yields.
Global stock markets also rose, including gains across Europe and Asia amid ongoing concerns about inflation and interest rates along with strong AI sector investment interest.
European and Japanese equities rose today Thursday, supported by falling oil prices and a stoppage in the sale of bonds, while investors await central bank decisions on interest rates.
