Wanda Sykes, Michael Sheen, Steve Buscemi to Guest Star on 'Murderbot'
Apple TV is adding more than 20 recurring and guest actors as the Emmy-nominated sci-fi comedy prepares for its second season.
- On Wednesday, Apple TV revealed 25 new recurring and guest stars for Season 2 of the sci-fi series Murderbot, which is currently filming based on Martha Wells' book series.
- Creators Chris and Paul Weitz direct and executive produce the series for CBS Studios, following a self-aware security construct attempting to hide its free will, played by Alexander Skarsgård.
- The show "has added a murderer's row of talent" for the upcoming season, including comedy veterans Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes, and Patton Oswalt, alongside Michael Sheen, Martha Plimpton, Bridget Everett, Topher Grace, and Blair Underwood.
- Returning to the series are Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski, alongside recurring guest stars Clark Gregg, John Cho, DeWanda Wise, and Jack McBrayer.
- Several new cast members bring experience from other Apple TV hits; Brendan Hunt plays Coach Beard in "Ted Lasso," while Tramell Tillman plays Mr. Milchick in the critically-acclaimed series "Severance.
