BODØ (TV 2): The government will spend over 600 million kroner to expand Andøya Spaceport. The goal is to secure a key strategic role for Norway and Europe in space.
According to NRK, the government will propose several hundred million kroner for the development of Andøya Spaceport in the state budget for 2027. Andøy Mayor Kjell-Are Johansen hopes that construction of a new launch pad can begin next year.
The need to be able to launch rockets from Europe is enormous. According to what NRK has learned, the government is proposing to invest millions in developing the space base on Andøya.
