It should reach approximately 275 kilometres of altitude and enter a low Earth orbit, making about six laps to the planet during a mission lasting close to ten hours.
The huge first stage of the Starship launch vehicle, known as Super Heavy, was taken to the launch pad at SpaceX's Starbase base in South Texas. The upper stage will be connected to the Starship upper stage, and if all goes according to plan, the launch will take place on September 28.
