The government of Spain today adopted emergency measures to solve the housing crisis in the country, after tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Barcelona the night before and riots broke out.
As part of the ban on evictions, the Government introduced an obligation for the regional administrations.

In Spain, the left-wing coalition government has adopted two new decrees after housing decrees that were rejected in parliament. The decrees include a ban on evictions until 2030 and a lease extension until 2028, while those who will become first homeowners will be provided with interest-free loans of up to 50, 000 euros.
